Professor Hanjun Zhao received his MBBS degree from the College of Medicine, Anhui University of Science and Technology. He then pursued a Master of Science degree at the School of Life Sciences, Anhui Normal University, which he completed, he earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Department of Microbiology at The University of Hong Kong, establishing a strong academic foundation in virology, immunology, and infectious disease research.

After completing his Ph.D., Professor Zhao began his postdoctoral research fellowship at The University of Hong Kong, continuing until January . During this time, he was deeply engaged in cutting-edge microbiological and virological research. He served as a Research Assistant Professor at the same institution.
