- Tao Chen began his academic journey at East China University of Science and Technology, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in Process Equipment and Control Engineering in 2012. Driven by a passion for engineering thermophysics, he pursued a Direct Ph.D. Program in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics at the same institution, completing his doctorate in 2018.

- After earning his Ph.D., Tao Chen joined Yunnan University as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Physics Postdoctoral Station from 2018 to 2020.
