Chenmu Xie is currently completing her Master of Fine Arts in Product Design with a specialization in Interaction Design at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA), China. She is expected to graduate in June 2024 and has maintained a GPA of 3.92/5.0. Her academic work is highlighted by her dissertation titled “Research on Digital Art Healing Design from the Perspective of Embodied Interaction,” which was recognized as an Excellent Graduation Thesis. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Design, focusing on Innovation Design, also at GAFA, with a GPA of 3.5/5.0.

During her academic journey, Chenmu has engaged in multiple research and design projects centered around interaction design, digital art, and user experience. She has explored the integration of digital technology with embodied interaction, contributing to the field through both theoretical research and hands-on design practices.

She has developed strong competencies in user experience design, system design thinking, scenario analysis, and digital interaction. Her coursework includes top marks in Design Practice, Scenario Insights and User Research, and Digital Technology and Embodied Interaction, indicating a solid foundation in both creative and technical aspects of design.

Chenmu’s research focuses on the intersection of digital art and healing, particularly through the lens of embodied interaction. She is interested in how digital tools and experiences can foster emotional well-being and contribute to therapeutic practices through innovative design methodologies.
